Our kitten died yesterday —
Our kitten died yesterday —
Right now it is morning. Birds are singing something, I don't know. Dogs were barking all night, again I don't know the reason. There were cats lurking in bins to find meals. And there are so many creatures around us, that we never think about. Until yesterday, I thought, these animals are fed through a system of nature. One hunts, eats, and becomes a victim of somebody's else's hunt. In this fast paced system of changing weathers, rain / hail storms and gushing winds — there is a cycle that doesn't break. That doesn't kill.

But, it breaks. I was wrong. In a poverty ridden system, animals die due to our wickedness. Lost in pursuit, can't find meal for the barking dog outside. Lost in desires, can't see the hungry beyond the walls. Lost in achievements, can't find a reason to become human first. What to say about becoming animals first or dogs first.
Our kitten was called "Stray" by the visitors, friends and vets. Like the stray has lesser right to survive. It is a discarded member and its death is kind of ok. Stray is ok to shoot if found wandering excessively or barking un-necessarily. Stray might inflict us with Rabies. And stray might not carry a right to feel loved.
We are slowly losing our sanity to growing worries of the world. Come on, it is a temporary phase. Live it first. Breath first. Think first. Are we heading to the place, we want — or it is the same place our fathers want for us. Are we feeling pumped and excited for the day ahead. Are we in love with our yesterdays. Are we going right. So many questions — and mostly we do not find time to answer.
In a self-centred chaos, we are demolishing the world beneath us.
