Make the right choice
Make the right choice
Some amongst us are in peace — monks | preachers | leaders or athletes. Some are poor yet smiling on our roads, under the bridges, in homeless shelters. Some are young and joyous. Some are near their deaths and ok. There are great people in all avenues and age spans around us. We interact with them, feel attracted towards them and want to mimic their behaviours. We try to scrap the layer above and read what their questions are? What keeps them so happy? We reflect back to our happy days, and ask what was it that gave us the contentment. The last ceremony, celebration or gathering, where we felt real happy. When was it?

The answer lies in the satisfaction of our inner values. When we seek a question, we find its answer, we hold on to it. And it rewards us with a brief period of satisfaction. Some days when we lose the resilience to stay steadfast — we lose some of the contentment. Like a leak in a bottle, the hard earned feeling-good memories starts fading. Slowly, we build a wall of either goodness or badness. Depending on what we decide to do now, has an impact on our future. Do good — you are watering your future self. Do bad — you are suffocating your future self.
Slowly the things in our life compound. Bad actions give bad rewards. Good actions give compelling future. Those who look good, only have built it through hard yet right choices in their pasts. Those who look failed, look so, due to their mounting guilt and regret as a result of bad choices. If we really want to make our tomorrow better, we need to stick to making the right choices today. And after picking up the choice, we got to stay steadfast, love boredom and show up.
